This painting began with a lot of texture paste, creating some interest even before I started painting. Then I introduced the different blues, cobalt, light, Prussian and Royal. Some blended as I worked ‘wet on wet’. The additional colours of yellow and white were needed to lift the piece even more. Don't be afraid to run your fingers over the painting, it is extremely tactile. Making this painting was an exercise in strengthening myself, I applied the texture paste like I put on a mask of protection, the exterior belies what is really happening within.

It is being sold unframed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

It will be sent wrapped in glassine paper to protect the front, corner protectors held on by cling wrap, encased in a waterproof bubble wrap and packaged in double-walled cardboard.
