Shattered is a reflection of how I felt when I started this painting, as well as how I would describe my brain at the time—in fragments, slowly piecing itself back together. And this was accomplished by focusing on and creating a well-composed piece of art. I'm very pleased with the outcome, and I no longer feel broken.
