'En Provence'

Why did I name this painting 'En Provence'?

I could picture this large canvas (measuring 36”x48”) in a home with tall ceilings, the sun streaming in through shuttered windows, looking out onto the countryside.

Creating this painting both horizontally, on a large table and vertically at the easel, my style developed, departing from my usual vibrant abstracts, 'En Provence' invites you into a world of understated elegance and quiet contemplation. Giving it a shabby chic appearance, layers of creamy tones cover nearly one half of the canvas and turquoise the other. There are the meerest hints of colour peeking through adding intrigue and depth, reflecting my own personal story of lifes imperfections that I'm sure can be related to. I often need to remind myself to take a step back and see things as a whole, like with this painting, overall there is a lot to be thankful for and beauty to see. As you gaze upon this piece, consider the possibility of altering its orientation to suit your space, inviting new perspectives and interpretations with each adjustment.

It is being sold unframed and comes accompanied with a certificate of authenticity.

The painting will be sent wrapped in glassine paper to protect the front, corner protectors held on by cling wrap, encased in a waterproof bubble wrap and packaged in double-walled cardboard.
