‘Seize The Day’

18”x24” (20”x26” framed) acrylic on deep edged canvas. 

This painting represents who I am as a person and artist. Although epilepsy is a huge part of my life, I strive not to let it define who I am.

This was not the first painting-related seizure I've experienced, but I typically manage to put my brushes down first. However, this time it was all captured on the canvas. I returned to it the following day, to make sense of the painting, so a lot of it is painted over, but there are obvious marks still visible. The turmoil that was in my head that day actually looks quite beautiful when given some order.

If I can use my art to promote self awareness (getting people to stop and think for a second) and raising money for desperately needed research into neurological illnesses, I consider myself blessed.

That’s why I feel there’s a lot of hope in this painting too.

Wired ready to hang and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

It will be sent wrapped in glassine paper to protect the front, corner protectors held on by cling wrap, encased in a waterproof bubble wrap and packaged in double-walled cardboard.
