Introduction

At Annette Aspen Art I am committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains when and why I collect personal information about people who contact me and/or visit my studio and website, how I use it, the conditions under which I may disclose it to others and how I keep it secure. I may change this policy from time to time, so please check this page to ensure that you are happy with any changes.

How do I collect information from you?

You may provide me with information by corresponding with me in person, by phone, by e-mail, or online. This includes information you provide when you use my website, enquire about or purchase an artwork, or attend an Open Studio event.

What type of information is collected from you?

The personal information I collect might include:

  • Your name, address, email address and phone number
  • Financial and debit/credit card information should you purchase an artwork from me
  • Browser information when you visit my website such as IP address, your browser type and language
  • Information that you provide to me by email or in person at my studio.

How is your information used?

We may use your information to:

  • Process a purchase that you have made;
  • Carry out my obligations arising from any contracts entered into by you and me.
  • Better understand how my website visitors use my website;
  • Respond to any of your email communications to me or process any complaints I receive;
  • Provide information about my artwork and services to you;
  • Keep you informed about events and exhibitions, and send you communications that you have requested.

If I have asked you for your agreement to use your data, I am using it under the legal basis of Consent. For purchases I use your data under the legal basis of (taking steps to) perform a Contract with you. Otherwise, I use your data as set out above on the legal basis of my Legitimate Interests of properly administrating, monitoring and improving my business and my website. I may also use your data as required to fulfil my legal obligations.

Who has access to your information?

I will not sell or rent your information to anyone. Neither will I share it with anyone for their marketing purposes.

I will share your information with my service provider MailChimp, only as far as reasonably necessary for me to use it for the purposes listed above and as required to fulfil my legal obligations.

Your choices

You have a choice about whether you wish to receive information from me. If you do not want to receive direct marketing communications from me then you can request to be removed from my database or unsubscribe from my newsletter.

The accuracy of your information is important to me. If you change your email address, or if any of the other information I hold is inaccurate or out of date, please contact me so I can update my records.

How I protect your Personal Data

When you give me personal information, I take steps to ensure that it is treated securely. I have implemented generally accepted standards of technology and operational security to protect personal data from loss, misuse, or unauthorised alteration or destruction.

I will notify you promptly if I become aware of any breach in the security of your personal data which might expose you to serious risk.

Annette Aspen Art may use cookies on the website to anonymously track numbers of visitors and their interaction with the site content. You can opt out of being tracked by adjusting your internet browser settings.

 

 

Children and Personal Information

I do not knowingly collect Personal Information from people aged under 16 without their parent or guardian’s consent. If I become aware that somebody aged under 16 has provided me with Personal Information without such consent, I will take steps to delete that information (except to the extent that I need it to fulfil my legal requirements).

Transferring your information outside Europe

I will not transfer information about you outside the European Economic Area without suitable safeguards. My service provider MailChimp is based in the USA and is listed as behind the data privacy shield.
